Refund & Cancellation Policy

Culvita is operated by Orbon-Simunovic Software. We use a milestone-protected escrow model so refunds happen automatically in most cases — you don't have to ask.
1. Before a project funds
When you pledge, your card is authorized but not charged. The authorization is released automatically (no charge) if:
- The project does not reach its funding goal by the deadline.
- The creator cancels the project before the deadline.
- You cancel your pledge before the deadline.
- The project is removed by Culvita staff for policy violation.
2. After a project funds
Once a project hits its goal, your card is charged and funds flow to the creator's parent-owned Stripe Connect account. Culvita holds those funds in milestone-protected escrow on Stripe's side. Funds are released to the parent in tranches as the creator submits and staff approve delivery proofs.
3. Automatic auto-refunds on missed milestones
If a creator misses a milestone's due date without an approved delivery proof, the unreleased portion of every backer's pledge is automatically refunded to the original card. You don't have to request it. The refund appears within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.
4. Discretionary refunds
For exceptional situations — duplicate pledge, creator misrepresentation, fraud allegation, etc. — email moose@foilforge.net with the project URL, your pledge date, and a short description. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved discretionary refunds are issued via Stripe to the original card.
5. Disputes & chargebacks
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us first — we can resolve almost every case faster than your card issuer can. Filing a chargeback before contacting us is your right, but it slows the resolution and may cause your account to be temporarily suspended pending investigation.
6. What we don't refund
- Pledges where the reward was delivered as described.
- Pledges where the creator delivered some milestones — only the portion attached to missed or unapproved milestones is refundable.
- Card-network fees imposed by the issuer (Stripe processing fees are not held by Culvita).
