What we do

Orbon-Simunovic Software operates Culvita, a rewards-based crowdfunding platform for high-school entrepreneurs (ages 13–17, with verified parent/legal guardian co-sign).

Young creators publish projects describing something they want to build — a product run, a short film, an indie game, a robotics kit — set a funding goal and a delivery timeline, and offer non-monetary rewards in exchange for pledges. Backers pre-order the rewards; we hold their card authorization until the project hits its goal.

We are not an equity, revenue-share, securities, charity, lending, or money-transmission platform. Funds never sit in our own balance; Stripe Connect routes captured pledges directly to the parent guardian's connected Stripe account in trust for the minor creator.

Products & services

Project creation tools — campaign authoring, milestone planning, backer messaging, delivery tracking.

Pledge processing — backers pre-order rewards via Stripe Checkout (web) or Stripe PaymentSheet (iOS / Android). Pre-authorized cards are captured only if the project hits its funding goal by the deadline.

Milestone-protected escrow — funds release in tranches as creators submit and staff approve delivery proofs. Missed milestones auto-refund the unreleased portion to backers.

Guardian onboarding — Stripe Identity for parent verification + Stripe Connect Express for payouts. Parents are the legal account holders.

Pricing

Free for backers. Pledges are charged at the amount pledged in USD. Standard Stripe payment-processing fees apply to the parent guardian's connected account when funds are captured.

Free for creators in v1. Culvita does not currently charge a platform fee. This page will be updated before any platform fee is introduced.

Policies

Compliance posture

COPPA — minimum user age is 13. Under-13 sign-ups are blocked at the schema level.

Minor contracts — verified parent/legal guardian co-sign is required before any minor can publish a project or move funds.

Securities — rewards-only. Securities, equity, revenue share, debt, NIL, and crypto language is scanned and blocked on every user submission.

Money transmission — funds route directly from backer cards to the guardian's connected Stripe account. Orbon-Simunovic Software never holds customer funds.

GDPR / CCPA — data export and right-to-delete are available at /settings/privacy. 30-day grace period; minors require guardian confirmation.
